For the first time in over 10 years, TANGERINE DREAM will return to Melbourne, performing for one night only on Monday 9 June at Max Watts.

Formed in 1967 by the late Edgar Froese, Tangerine Dream has influenced generations of artists - from Radiohead to M83 - and remain pioneers of the Berlin school of electronic music.

Known for pushing the boundaries of ambient, psychedelic rock and synth, they continue to carry the band's legacy forward, blending analog synths, hypnotic rhythms and cinematic soundscapes.

The band will perform a career-spanning set, from their early works like Phaedra to the driving arpeggios of their film scores, which include tracks from Risky Business, Sorcerer and GTAV amongst many others.

A 7-time Grammy nominated act, they are known as much for their carefully constructed compositions as they are for their unique live shows - every performance ends with a completely real-time composition lasting anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes, which makes every show entirely unique.

“Even the Moog will remain silent if your imagination is poor.” – Edgar Froese
