Producer, remixer, and undisputed patriarch of the British record label/dub collective On-U Sound. For more than four decades, Adrian Sherwood has been using the low end to bust open new ground—developing a cult-like following via his experiments in dub, reggae, punk, post-punk and bass music.

Since the late 1970s, Adrian’s name has been drawing reverence for his unparalleled work with collaborators such as Prince Far I, Lee Scratch Perry and Mikey Dread. He’s produced and remixed for everyone from The Slits and Nine Inch Nails to Depeche Mode, Einstürzende Neubauten, Blur, The Fall, Primal Scream, Sonic Boom, Panda Bear and more. Basically, he’s capable of finding deep, groovy shades of dub wherever he looks. At RISING, he’s coaxing it out downstairs with a live band at Max Watt’s—where the vibrations have nowhere to go but through you.
